Scope
These rules apply to group-ride names, invitations, shared location, and interactions between riders. Group rides are invitation-based, but an invitation never removes another rider’s right to privacy, safety, and respectful treatment.
Names and prohibited content
Anonymous riders use a randomized name. Signed-in riders may choose a name. Names must not contain profanity; sexual or exploitative content; threats; hate or discriminatory abuse; encouragement of violence or illegal activity; another person’s private information; links or contact details; scams, spam, or deceptive promotion; or impersonation of another person or Transalpina staff. Group rides do not currently accept uploaded profile images or free-form chat.
Behavior
Do not harass, threaten, stalk, deceive, or pressure another rider. Do not use group location to follow someone outside the agreed ride. Do not share another person’s private information. Group tools never excuse unsafe riding: obey road rules and interact with the app only when safe.
Location and consent
Share location only with a group you intend to join. Do not use a rider’s location after the agreed ride or copy, publish, sell, or use it to profile, intimidate, or identify someone. Leave or block immediately when sharing should stop.
Report
Open a rider’s menu and choose Report, then select the closest category. Reports enter a review queue, notify the developer, and are reviewed as promptly as practical. Reports should be made in good faith; repeated malicious reporting is itself abuse. For an urgent or immediate safety issue, leave the ride and contact the appropriate local emergency service.
Block
Blocking immediately stops the two riders from sharing live location in that session. A leader blocks by removing the other rider. A non-leader blocks by leaving the ride, because hiding a roster entry while continuing to broadcast location would not be a real block.
Leader removal
Leaders may remove a rider at any time. Their live location and group credential are invalidated immediately. The same app installation is rejected if it tries to rejoin that ride. This is a practical deterrent, not proof of a person’s identity, because an installation token can be replaced by reinstalling or modifying an app.
Enforcement and appeals
Depending on severity and history, action may include resetting a display name, warnings, removal from a ride, session or account restrictions, or account termination. Transalpina may preserve limited moderation records needed to investigate abuse and prevent repeat harm. Credible imminent threats or legal requirements may be escalated. To report a concern that cannot be submitted in the app, add context, or appeal an action, email info@transalpina.app. This is a moderated inbox, and we aim to respond within two business days.
